The scheme consists of two concrete buildings that create public spaces around them that differ in relation to street and river level. It acts as means of escape. Both the site and buildings naturally step downwards to the edge of the river hiding the visitor from the outside world. It provides the possibility to undergo a transition from the known into the unknown, from reality into the world of books, from familiar urban and traffic congested streets to the green space beyond the two buildings.
